After a brief, yet passionate, infatuation with Tumblr (which I am still on), I've decided to post on the blog again. The main reason is that I feel writing is the only thing I have a vague talent at and the only way to improve upon it is to subject my witterings to the ether and hopefully one day manage coherence.

Previously, I've attempted to adjust the blog to what I thought perhaps people would like it to be, but I'd really like to give it a serious stab this time. So, I'll mainly be posting about illustration and comics- both subjects I have next to no knowledge of, but ones for which I do possess an unseemly childish passion.

Amy, who writes the awesome Pikaland blog, recently wrote a piece entitled 'Do What You Love' (which I encourage all to read), which neatly and simply encapsulates the scariness and difficulty of pursuing what you genuinely love whilst simultaneously trying to make a living from it. I don't know what I would like to do, or BE, but I'm starting my Librarianship qualification in September and have decided to funnel any extra time and energy into the comics and illustration route and just see where it leads. And I feel very lucky to be able to do that. Of course what time there will be between uni and work, God knows. . .
