Youth in Decline announce 2014 books from Sascha Hommer, Ping Zhu, Sam Alden

Youth in Decline have announced their artists line up for next year, along with a subscription service for buyers. The quarterly comics and illustration monograph, which showcases the work of one artist each book, has enlisted German cartoonist Sascha Hommer for the February issue, Ping Zhu for the April/May release and he-who-be-eth-everywhere, comics machine Sam Alden for September's book. The final artist for the November issue is yet to be announced. The books will all be 32 pages in length, Hommer's in both black and white and colour, Zhu's in full colour, and Alden's will be risograph printed. That's a pretty nifty line-up by anybody's standards, I think.

The subscription service on offer from now until February covers all 4 books, as well as postage costs. As an international buyer, I have to say that' a very good deal indeed- it worked out at around £31 for me, which is approximately £8 per issue, inclusive of shipping to the UK from the US which is truly ridiculous these days (I once dded a $3 comic to my virtual cart and was added a cool $25 extra in shipping, to give you an idea of how ridiculous). Subscriptions seem to be doing well as a model in small press comics publishing of late, and this would make a nice gift for the discerning comics appreciator. The prices below are embedded with links which will take you directly to the website and appropriate deal:
